To this day, my best friend and unfailing teacher continues to be — Nature. There in the wild, in its streams and fields, in its unpredictable creatures, lies the lesson of Emotion. A look or feel or flight or milli-second of mystery — that astonishes. Capturing that moment of spontaneous honesty is the lesson. I find it in nature. I find it in humanity. The faces, the places, the silent poetry. If what I capture goes deep to the heart and soul of the matter, to those emotions, I am wildly happy. I've had a good teacher.
